Admissions in the 3-year B.Sc. course are done based upon the rank one gets in the All-India Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) conducted by NCHMCT, Noida every year. The forms are available from December which can be filled and submitted, online and in the Institutes as well. The JEE takes place in the third or fourth week of April followed by the results in the third week of May. There are three rounds of counseling under which choice filling takes place online. Once you get the college that you want, you must go to the college and do the documentation. Once the documentation is done & the Fees paid; the academic session begins in the third week of July.
Applications are invited by individual affiliated Institute of Hotel Management through advertisement in leading local newspapers released during the month of June each year and selection made through a transparent selection process.
For a student to be eligible to give the JEE, there is some minimum requirement that he needs to fulfill; which is:
Candidate should be +2 pass or equivalent with English as one of the subjects.
Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE on a provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand canceled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counseling or at the time of admission. The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission. If any candidate is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an institute, his/her admission will stand canceled.
